Color Me Mom

There are lots of blogs I love to read, but one of my favorites is Color Me Katie. I’ve always wanted to spread a little cheer Katie style, so today we armed ourselves with a bucket of chalk and headed to our favorite park.
(This next message was all Roo. She never ceases to amaze me with that sweet spirit of hers.)
We tagged the walking trail with our footsteps, hopscotch games, Mother’s Day wishes, and even a few of my favorite quotes.
While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about. – Angela Schwindt

Mother’s hold their children’s hands for a short while, but their hearts forever. – Author Unknown

Each day of our lives we make deposits in the memory banks of our children. – Charles R. Swindoll

It was really fun to watch people walk by and read our messages. After we finished our doodles we headed around the park to climb a few trees, a new favorite pastime they’re quickly mastering.
Even though I’m the mom, today, at that park, I felt like a kid again. And it doesn’t get any better than that.
Happy Mother’s Day!
